Douglas Pigg, one of our first volunteers, described the Mind Your Head Challenge as ‘speed dating for the brain’. The taster session allows you to try out different mind stimulating activities (Brain Cells) to find the one that suits you best. The next event is on Friday April 13th at Stratton from 2-4 pm. Entry is free and there will be tea and cake. This is being funded by the Keep Warm Keep Safe Social Inclusion fund distributed by Dorset Community Foundation.
A range of Brain Cells will be there to give you a sample of what you can do. Research has demonstrated that keeping the brain stimulated and active can defer the onset of dementia. It can also provide social contact and be a load of fun. Come along and find your perfect match to keep your brain on its toes!
