Our latest Brain Cell to register is Jane Silver-Corren’s Community Singing Workshops. Welcome Jane. I first met Jane at the Synergy Housing Taster session on March 13th where she was helping the Alzheimer’s Singing for the Brain. Having been chucked out of a choir at fifteen, I wasn’t sure I wanted to sing, but Jane was brilliant at getting everyone joining in. You could feel the energy in the room grow and people played instruments and sang along. It was fantastic and I would recommend it to anyone for a great social uplifting experience. (I didn’t get thrown out either!)
Singing stimulates the brain, energises you and requires memory of the words. You can even get involved in writing the words of a new song for the group. Budding McCartney’s better get signed up!
