Finalist in Dorset Business Awards

On Friday 11th December, we were very honored to be part of the Dorset Business Awards event in Poole. Training for Results was a finalist in the Dorset County Council 2012 Legacy Award. Congratulations to the worthy winners Hive Beach Cafe.

It was our first event of this kind, and it was fantastic to hear all the incredible success being achieved by a wide variety of companies across the County. Even more humbling were the stories from the Best Charities Award. It is so good to hear positive news stories in these current times.

We have a motivational poster, which says ‘Don’t wait for your ship to come in, swim out to meet it‘. This has inspired us to make the most of the opportunities that the 2012 Olympics coming to Dorset offer. One of the biggest involvements we have is with the Phoenix Legacy. This was something we initiated this year and is a project aimed at getting people over 50 more active in mind, body and spirit. Details are on http://www.teamdorset.org.uk/Community/Phoenix-Legacy.

It would have been so easy not to get involved or to enter the Awards, but if you don’t try, you don’t know what you can achieve. We are so glad we did and are very grateful to all the people who inspired and supported us in this.
