High quality strategic leadership is essential for a profitable professional business. This leadership needs to be communicated daily, if the company is going to move from its current position to where it needs to be. Growth, change and bridging the gap are essential, but getting your team to buy in to these can be difficult. Communicating with impact gains trust, ensures maximum attention to productivity and helps achieve the business goals. A leader needs to have followers, but the modern employee is far more selective of who they choose to follow. Therefore, it is important to maintain strong credibility as a leader in every day-to-day contact. The eyes of your staff are on you to ensure that what you say is congruent with what you do. They will take their lead from you.
The aim of these two unique workshops is to build on current skills to develop the full potential of the senior team. It will define the roles and styles of modern strategic leadership and how you balance this with management and communication to establish an engaged, high performance team. It will include strategic tasks, problem solving and undertaking of work-based actions to address real issues.
The development will also include an on-line assessment of the Integrated Leadership Measure (ILM72) to identify preferred leadership styles which will provide awareness of strengths and areas for development. The workshops will be run with a period between them to allow reflection and implementation of agreed actions.
Objectives
By the end of the two workshops, you will be able to:
- Communicate the strategy, vision and values as a leader daily.
- Gain commitment to achieve the business goals by balancing leadership and management.
- Build engagement and relationships with your team to cope with change.
